Fingertip, a Tamil action thriller drama series, is expected to return with a second season shortly. On August 21, 2019, the first season of the series launched with five episodes named Greed, Rage, Betrayal, Lust, and Vengeance.
All of them were directed and produced by Shivakar Srinivasan, who has also been tapped for Season 2. The series is produced by Vishnu Vardhan and Anu Vardhan through their Vishnu Vardhan Films label.
The second season of the show will include a completely different cast than the first, which included Akshara Haasan, Ashwin Kakumanu, Sunaina Gayathrie, Madhusudhan Rao, Sanjana Sarathy, Jeeva Ravi, and others.
Prasanna, renowned for his appearances in films such as Five Star (2002), Kannum Kannum, Cheena Thaana 001, Kanda Naal Mudhal, and Naanayam, played the lead part of a cop in the second season. He was most recently seen in the Sun TV crime comedy Naanga Romba Busy, which premiered in 2020.
Aparana Balamurali of Maheshinte Prathikaaram, Sunday Holiday, and Soorarai Potter fame as a psychotherapist, and Regina Cassandra of Ek Ladki ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga and Rocket Boys renown as a filmmaker, star alongside him in the series.
Aside from these talents, the new season will also feature Vinoth Kishan, who is well known for his roles in Naan Mahaan Alla and Vidiyum Munna, Mandela’s Kanna Ravi and Sharath Ravi, and Dhivya Duraisamy from Dhivya Duraisamy.
Fingertip is set to premiere its second season in the next month, almost three years after the publication of its first. The creators announced the series’ release date, revealing that it will launch on India’s own OTT streaming platform Zee5 on June 17, 2022.
This season, like the last one, is expected to have five episodes, and we hope it will be as successful as the first. The release date was also announced on Zee5 Tamil’s official Twitter account, along with a poster showing the complete lead cast.
The series’ narrative centres around infamous groups that modify photos, transforming images of random people stolen from social media platforms and web sites, and blackmailing them, leading to serious threats to their personal life and even suicide.
