When Shree Mani was a little child, his parents passed away, and he was raised by his beloved grand parents koniki dathatreyulu (late) and koniki ramanamma. He became interested in poetry and writing when he was 8 years old.
His granddad passed away during his graduation. He left college and started looking for employment. Mr. Sukumar there made him an offer to work as a lyricist once he travelled to Hyderabad. Then, after receiving a lot of praise, he composed the lyrics for his debut movie, “100% love.” He continued writing songs after that, and people began to take notice of him.
Career :
After much struggle, filmmaker Sukumar gave him his first opportunity to write lyrics for a song in his film 100 percent Love. Later, he rose to popularity for his lyrics in Sega, which earned him the names of the renowned and illustrious singers Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan SP. After receiving praise from Balasubramaniyam for the Varsham Munduga song in Sega in the Padutha Theeyagaa show, which airs on Eenadu TV, Trivikram Srinivas offered him a role in Julai, AtharintikiDaredhi, S/O Sathyamurthy, and other films.
When he received praise for the lyrics in 100 percent Love and from Devi Sri Prasad and Sukumar, he used to remark that was the most unforgettable moment. He reportedly never once sat down to write with the intention of doing so; instead, he said that his songs always came to him on the moment when he was working, travelling, spending time with friends, or just hanging out. He promptly recorded them on his phone.
He penned the lyrics for four films in 2011, including “100% love,” “A Square B Square” (female and male versions), “Aho Balu,” and “That is Mahalakshmi.” He also authored the lyrics for “Padam Vidichi,” “O’ka Devatha,” “Rani,” and “Varsham Munduga” for the movie “Sega.”
Then in 2012, he was given the chance to create the music for seven films, including “Nuvva Nena,” for which he wrote the song “Oy Pilla.” He wrote the lyrics for “Inthajare Inthajare,” “Happy Heart Attack,” “Melukora Melukora,” and “Parvathi Parvathi” for the album “Love Failure.”
The other movies were “Race,” “Vennela 1 1/2,” “Endukante Premanta,” “Julai,” “Sarocharu,” and “Vennela 1 1/2.” He won the Filmfare Award for Best Lyricist in 2013 for his work on the film “Atharintiki Daaredi” and the beautiful song “Aaradugula Bullet.”
The songs “DK Bose,” “Mandodari,” “Sukumarudu,” “Pelli Pusthakam,” “Adda,” “Yevadu,” “Kevvu Keka,” “Ramayya Vasthavayya,” and “Doosukeltha” were also written by him. He wrote the lyrics for numerous films in 2014 and 2015, including “Aagadu,” “Paathshala,” “Run Raja Run,” “Oka Laila Kosam,” “Brother of Bommali,” “Kumari 21 F,” “Sher,” “S/O Satyamurthy,” and “Bengal Tiger.” Mr. Shi Mani is one of the most well-known Indian lyricists, and his career is flourishing. He created some of the best scripts for movies between 2016 and 2017 like “Oka Ammai Tappa,” “Babu Bangaram,” “Srirastu Subhamastu,” “Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada,” “Khaidi No. 150,” “Nenu Local,” and “Shatamanam Bhavati.”
